CHAPTER 16: Time Apart       Sitting in front of the large window in the living room of Uhura’s living quarters, I gazed out at the many people as they went about their daily lives. The mechanical door opened behind me, but I did not turn to see nor acknowledge who it was. As I sat there, Kirk motioned for Uhura to head towards the door with him so that they could speak somewhat privately. CHAPTER 13: A Day in the Life of Dr. McCoy       Wrapping my arms around Ma in a tight hug, I smiled against her curly gray hair and then placed a quick kiss on her cheek before pulling away from her.     “Thank you for everything, Ma. CHAPTER 12: Southern Comfort       Bowing my head as the coroner passed by with David McCoy’s body safely inside a black body bag, I looked up at Ma as she followed them out of the house. Standing in the hallway as a few orderlies hauled away the medical equipment and machines from the master bedroom, I glanced down the hallway at the closed door of Dr. McCoy’s bedroom.
